Primary Function
Manage all daily on-site activities associated with the project or areas assigned. The Foreman is the front-line manager for the team and directs the crew and activities daily. This position reports to a General Superintendent daily for progress updates, planning, coordination, and scheduling. Responsibilities

• 
  
• Implements the overall construction plan and sequencing for the project in conjunction with the project management team.
  
• Reads and interprets plans and specifications from the Architect/Engineer and can communicate these down to others.
  
• Oversees all aspects of construction to ensure compliance with the scope, quality, and local codes as established by the contract documents.
  
• Meets or exceeds project schedules within changing conditions.
  
• Applies Quality Control Practices as delivered by the team.
  
• Is involved with inspections and audits of construction project activities and processes.
  
• Directs Gulf Stream Environmental personnel in day-to-day activities of work.
  
• Manages tools and equipment utilization for the project to ensure our assets are used efficiently and accounted for.
  
• Leads weekly safety meetings when in the absence or in lieu of a formal site meeting.
  
• Mentors Assistant Foremen and others assigned to the project.
  
• Produces accurate Project Daily reports for areas assigned.
  
• Ability to forecast labor and material needs for the project with the Management Team.
  
• Promotes and maintains positive relationships with the Owner/Architect/Engineer
  
• Proactively anticipates and solves problems that could delay construction.
  
• Identifies, nurtures, and solicits future business opportunities for Gulf Stream Environmental.
  
• Implements and adheres to Gulf Stream Environmental Safety Program, OSHA guidelines, and Company policies, procedures, and standards.
  
• Promotes integrity, honesty, hard work, safety, and quality throughout all aspects of the project and is a professional representative of Gulf Stream Environmental.
  
• Performs additional assignments as directed by management or as required for successful project completion.
  
• Possess a high degree of flexibility and the willingness to travel to job sites outside of our current location
  
  
  In-state and out-of-state travel will be required.
  
  Minimum of three to five years experience required
  
  Required Certification/Training minimum:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Completed OSHA 30 Hour Course for Construction
    
  • Current First Aid Certification
    
  • Completed CEPSCI Certification
    
    
    
    
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    
    
    • 
      
    • HDPE liner welding experience preferred
      
    • Familiar with computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
      
    • Ability to communicate with customers and management
      
    • Understands navigation and use of time and date entry software or similar software
      
    • Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills both written and verbal.
      
    • Ability to work independently.
      
    • Ability to lead a team and/or teams.
      
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
