Visiting Angels of Mt Pleasant provides non-medical in-home care to our community throughout - Charleston County. - Our purpose is to support individuals so they may continue to live in the comfort of their own home environment, regardless of age and condition. - - -Through a variety of respite care and senior home care services, we help loved ones overcome the struggles that influence their life. - - -With the gift of assisted independence, the entire family has peace of mind over their loved one's well being.

We are seeking compassionate Skilled Senior Care Providers/Caregivers to assist clients in a professional and caring manner. - - This position is very rewarding and at times may be demanding. - - - You will be responsible for an individuals safety and well-being to provide supportive non-medical care. - - - Schedules may vary from 2 hour shifts and beyond as we do care for some clients 24/7, so scheduling is flexible to either part time, full time, or as available. -The ideal candidate should be compassionate, caring, patient, and adaptable to situations. -** In need of COVID-19 - Vaccinated Care Providers. - - - This is not a requirement.

Responsibilities
Follow a plan of care set by the Case Manager
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
Medication reminders
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
Help clients with therapy exercises
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
Do the client's shopping or accompany them during errands or physician appointments -
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion
Report any unusual incidents
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Communicate with families, home health, and hospice if applicable -
Skills
Proven experience as a caregiver (Preferred)
Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR) (Preferred, not required)
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Respectful and compassionate
Good time management skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ethics
Physical ability
High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
