Salary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $68,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Well Established Industrial Company Located Minutes Outside Of Charleston, SC Has An Opening For A Buyer. Candidates should have pervious manufacturing experience. Buyer Status- Direct Hire Shift- Day Shift Compensation- $60,000-$68,000 Degree- NA Experience- 3 + years experience in a buying role, Must have previous buying experience, Strong negotiations, Great warehouse-supply chain experience This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Carrying out warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures
• Negotiating best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.
• Providing vendors with answers to questions regarding orders, processing or scheduling and providing them with additional documentation when needed
• Communicating with management on all issues pertaining to obstacles for maintaining production schedule or pricing changes (delivery, availability, price increases, etc.)
• Work closely with the Supply Chain team to support supplier deviation in on time delivery
• Be involved in the supplier selection and kick off in program phase to prepare the start of Production
• Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
• Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and adherence to
• Follow safety policies and procedures and company's Vision, Values, Principles, and Philosophies, in addition to all OSHA requirements Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High School graduation or equivalent. Associates degree is desirable.
  • Must have at least three years previous purchasing related experience or knowledge
  • Previous experience in a prior manufacturing setting and understanding of supply chain concepts will be needed, to be successful in this position
  • Great negotiator
  • Great communication and team player
  • Must have previous manufacturing experience
