Job Overview

Chugach is seeking a Subject Matter Expert III (MUOS) Mobile User Objective System to support the NIWC US Coast Guard MUOS Transition Project. The candidate will work at NIWC/Contractor site in Charleston SC and provide day-to-day program and technical support to NIWC MUOS team lead or designated representatives. The position requires an experienced communications expert with installation, integration, maintenance and training experience to support the project. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Conducting installations for all MUOS prototype and full rate production installs
• Troubleshooting and training on the AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-158, AN/PRC-152, AN/ARC-210, AN/USC-61
• Complete RT-1949 Firmware upgrades
• Conduct equipment Pre-Installation Check-out and Test
• Install MUOS profiles onto radios
• Review and verification of radio firmware and JENM software version
• Design and maintain installation kits
• Submit request for all MUOS profiles and generate radio configuration files
• Provide Help Desk support for Tier I & II MUOS provisioning issues
• Document development and support including; Job Aids, OEM manuals, Tech Manuals, Training Material, Afloat & Ashore Installation Check Sheets, and PICO/SOVT/PEP Job Requirements
  
  Mandatory:
  • Secret Clearance, preferred or the ability to obtain one in a timely fashion.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Minimum 12 years' experience providing technical support for C5ISR systems and programs.
  • Background in MUOS communication
  • Recognized technical expert who has demonstrated relevant technical capabilities to customers.
  • Travel will be required (up to 60%)
