Places and maintains cable/fiber within underground conduit system. Places direct buried cable/fiber using plowing, digging, trenching, and boring equipment. Responsible for building and maintaining aerial drops with the use of bucket vans or pole climbing. Responsible for direct buried drops, repairs, and for locating and marking all services to include coax, copper, and fiber. Maintain and/or replace fiber boxers and pedestals. Must be familiar with all Rural Utility practices and standards.

Job Duties

• Places and maintains cable/fiber within underground conduit system.
• Places direct buried cable/fiber using plowing, digging, trenching, and boring equipment.
  • Direct bury drops, repairs, and for locating and marking all services.
    • Maintain/replace fiber boxes and pedestals.
      • Building and maintaining aerial drops.
        • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
          EDUCTION
          
          High School Diploma or equivalent education GED.
          
          Minimum one (1) - two (2) years' basic electrical experience.
          
          Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and be a team player. Valid clear Driver's License. Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
