Position Title: Computer Helpdesk Technician Location: Charleston, SCDuration: 12 months temp to PermanentGeneral Overview:We are seeking Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 technicians who will serve full-time on the customer site, for a temp to fulltime position. The contractor will work as a technical representative for our Navy client. The candidate will provide general guidance on US Navy Applications, assist in troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise, help to resolve connectivity issues between PSD's and US Naval offices, and be the first point of contact for any IT related questions.Duties:Interact with executive-level customers and management in resolving technical issuesProvide ongoing technical support to client offices that are using a variety of systems and software, from installation, configuration, to troubleshooting.Acts as an advocate for Navy Personnel Offices for a variety of issues with a focus on prompt resolutionProvide front line phone, Live Chat, and Remote Desktop support, may be required to resolve requests via on-site visit(s).Assist in the delivery, installation, and use of systems and service (e.g., Washington to district office connectivity, Internet, remote access, etc.)Provide support for client offices in installing and using client supported software, including messaging client software, word processors, web browsers, anti-virus software, and custom-developed applications.Provide consulting support to the client office about the newest technologies and how they best fit the office's needsAssist in developing user documentation/installation procedures (SOPs).Confer with senior engineering staff to resolve more complex problems.Candidate Specific Requirements:One (1) to (6) years of practical experience in data entry and formatting via common productivity tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite. Capable of typing at a rate of 40 words per minute.One (1) to (6) years experience in a desk side support (Tier 2 or 3, break/fix and troubleshooting)One (1) to (6) years supporting/troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Windows OS (7 & 10) and Microsoft Office (2013, 2016, 365)Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting, to maintain a ClearanceDesired Qualifications:Experience with Remedy ITSM Case ManagementPrevious Naval background with rating as ITS or PS2 years experience supporting/troubleshooting experience with Mobile phones, Apple iOS and Blackberry preferred Providing support through an MDM solution (GOOD, BES, AirWatch, etc.) to mobile phones.2 year supporting/troubleshooting experience with Mac OS in an enterprise environment 2 year supporting/troubleshooting experience supporting clients using remote access software2 year supporting/troubleshooting experience with remote connectivity (VPN)Must have excellent written and verbal communication skillsRelated IT certification preferred (CompTIA certs, Microsoft IT certs)Place of Performance:Support will be provided locally in Charleston SC as well as remotely for various PSD's and AWC's locations throughout the United States and its territories. Office will be located within a federal government building in each city. Working Shift:Full Time, 40 hours per week Business Hours are Monday - Friday 8AM- 5PM, candidate's shift with be a standard and consistent 8 hours within that window.
