We are looking for a Maintenance Technician at Kiawah River!
Kiawah River is a 2,000 acre master planned community located along
20 miles of shoreline on the Kiawah River in South Carolina. Lot
and amenity development are well underway and there are a
significant amount of projects in our pipeline on this 15 year
project. These projects include, but are not limited to, waterfront
restaurant, additional fitness/pool amenity, deep water dock,
sports park/fitness programing, greeter station, village retail, as
well as an abundance of future parks and gathering spaces.
The Kiawah River Maintenance Technician will assist and support the
Land Manager and Facility Manager in the management of developer
owned/managed facilities as well as manage open green spaces within
the Kiawah River development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance duties to ensure that the
facilities and grounds are in good working order
Perform various HVAC preventative maintenance related tasks
including scheduling seasonal service and regularly changing
Troubleshoot buildings and grounds deficiencies and initiate
repairs. Initiate contact with third party vendor if repair cannot
be made in house.
Assist in the management of third party vendors who will be
performing regularly scheduled grounds and facility
Perform small carpentry projects and repairs on site.
Assist in the execution of various grounds management activities,
including, but not limited to lawn mowing, weed eating, fertilizer
application, herbicide application, and seasonal planting.
Willing to perform required administrative and documentation tasks
to maintain a log of all work performed and vendors who have
accessed and entered the site.
HVAC and building systems experience
Intermediate carpentry skills
Interior and Exterior Painting
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record for the past
three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance
Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Regular day shift, Monday - Friday, but position may involve night
or weekend work on an as needed basis, required to respond during
off duty hours.
Indoor/Outdoor - occasional exposure to harsh weather conditions;
requires work to be done both inside and outside.
Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to
handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear,
see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
