**34115BR** **Requisition ID:** 34115BR **Business Unit:** FSU **Job Description:** CDM Smith is seeking mid to senior level Construction Inspection Specialists to support various short-term and long-term Federal projects nationwide. As a member of our Project Staff team you will contribute to CDM Smiths mission by: Inspecting building and/or other structures (roads, dams, bridges, etc.) to ascertain structural soundness, safety, and compliance with code and regulations. Documenting inspection results inclusive of deterioration, structural condition, deficiencies between design and execution of construction and any needed sampling. Monitoring progress and contributing to construction reports and/or project status reports. Overseeing and coordinating construction related services on projects. Conducting on site investigations and reviewing relevant data including maps, reports, tests, drawings and other as required. Complying with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and delivering technical files and other technical documentation as required. Developing, training, and educating junior construction professionals, guiding the technical direction, and serving as a liaison with clients. Able to pass a federal background check. Demonstrates technical proficiency and design application knowledge. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the construction process for large commercial, municipal or federal projects. Strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work. Excellent attention to detail. Familiar and comfortable to work on computers/tablets/phones. Strong writing and oral communication skills. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Good interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners. **Background Check and Drug Testing Information:** CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as CDM Smith) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.
