Provides professional, attentive, and efficient service to guests throughout the entire check-in and check-out process in order to exceed guests' expectations.

The Front Desk Agent will:

  • Welcomes every guest on arrival at the hotel in a professional manner, executing all brand standards during the check-in process.
  • Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information with routine difficulty from a computer system, confirming pertinent information including number of guests and room rate. Promote Hotel's marketing programs. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs. Code electronic keys. Non-verbally confirm the room number and rate.
  • Accepts payments. Processes cash and credit card transactions according to established policies and procedures. Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank. Accept and record vouchers, and other forms of payment. Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer.
  • Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear English communication. Input messages into the computer. Retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest. Retrieve mail, small packages and facsimiles for customers as requested.
  • Maintains a house bank. Prepares accurate report of receipts and makes daily deposit.
  • Close guest accounts at time of check out and ascertain satisfaction. In the event of dissatisfaction, negotiate compromise, which may include authorizing revenue allowances.
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity, and resolve complications such as location changes or credit issues.
  • Responds to guests' requests promptly. Promotes hotel's services, facilities and outlets and provides guests with directions and information on local attractions and restaurants.
  • Take ownership of guests challenges and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Resolves minor guest complaints promptly and professionally. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. Informs supervisor of major issues.Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
    Education:High school diploma preferred. Experience:Customer Service experience preferred. Prior hospitality, call center, education system background experience welcomed. Grooming:All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards available).
