Job Description Summary Cardiology Clinic is a fast-paced
multi-disciplinary clinic located at the Ashley River Tower (ART).
Patient centered care team members working with cardiology, CT
surgery, Vascular surgery and Transplant patients. We see about
600-700 patients a week so it's busy, but fun. We have a great team
dynamic and believe in working together to make the best patient

Description The Certified Medical Assistant reports to the
Outpatient Clinic Manager. Under the direct supervision of a
Registered Nurse, the Certified Medical Assistant performs
multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized
patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired
outcomes. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under
the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital
signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and
height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical
record. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. High
school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical
assisting program with one year of patient care experience
preferred. Must be certified through the American Medical
Technologist (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants
(AAMA) or National Health career Association (NHA) or MedCA as a
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical
Assistant (CMA), or National Association for Health Professionals
(NAHP). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare
Providers certification is required. LPN I Minimum Training and
Education: Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program.
Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact
state. LPN Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:
Current South Carolina LPN License or compact state license.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers
certification is required. Additional Job Description Physical

balance and coordination. (Frequent) Ability to reach in all
directions. (Continuous) Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

lb. patient that can not assist in the transfer requires 50 lbs. of
force. For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required
from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push
a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is
required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability
to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.
(Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or
at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate
between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine
distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
(Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous)
Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous)
Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor
movements. (Continuous) Ability to deal effectively with stressful

to work in a latex safe environment. (Continuous) Ability to
