Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,839 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29425! Job Title: PICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 3x12 Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of PICU experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: Experience preferred in ECMO and CRRT Description: The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provides intensive and intermediate care to children ages 0-18 with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. Common diagnoses include respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative surgical support, and neurology/neurosurgery. The unit is equipped to provide ECMO, CRRT, renal or peritoneal dialysis, and other complex support therapies as needed. Pediatric Palliative care is available when necessary. The staffing mix consists of Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries, with specialized services such as Respiratory Therapy, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pediatric Pharmacists available. Daily patient ratios vary and typically include 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3, depending on patient acuity. The unit is designed with a total of 28 beds. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit operates under the guidelines of a Level I Trauma Center and is also recognized as a teaching facility.
